Radical SR8LM

Behold! The mighty Radical SR8LM. It remains the fastest production car at Nürburgring completing the circuit in just 6:48. This open-wheeled British sports car made by Radical Sports Cars took the top spot from its predecessor with ease. With a 2.8L V8 engine which produces 690 bhp and a body as light as a feather, it can reach up to 180 mph in no time.

Before the SR8LM took over, the 2005 SR8 by Radical was the fastest car ever to complete a round of the track in 6:55. This light-weight open-wheeler is fast through the straights and the corners.

2013 Porsche 918 Spyder

Claiming the number 3 spot is the 918 Spyder! One of the finest specimens of German engineering, the Spyder is a mid-engined car housing a 4.8L V6 mill assisted by an electric motor delivering 875 bhp and 1,280 Nm of torque. The Porsche 918 Spyder’s capability of going from standstill to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and achieving a top speed of 214 mph makes it one of the quickest accelerating cars in the world. It completed the Nürburgring lap in 6:57.

2016 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV

For a long period of time Lamborghinis were known for their flamboyant looks and the raging noise they made. Recently, the Italian car manufacturing giant has turned their heads toward offering a high-level performance car that could leave most other cars bite the dust. The Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV carries a 6.5-liter V12 engine that generates 740 bhp and 690 Nm of torque. It snatched the 4th spot from the Nissan GT-R Nismo after completing the lap in 6:59:73. This Lamborghini Aventador model can reach a top speed of 219 mph.

2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo (R35)

The fifth fastest car at Nürburgring, the Nissan GT-R Nismo is a shredded version of the Skyline R35, one of the most cherished Japanese cars. It is also one of the cheapest cars mentioned in the link. It packs a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that pumps out 592 bhp and 652 Nm of torque. The GT-R Nismo is capable of going from 0 to 62 mph in a quick 2.5 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph. Talk about acceleration! It completed the lap in 7:08:68.
