Advantages of Having a Car
Being able to drive is one of the most important abilities someone can have. Your life will be transformed by having a car, and you will find doors open for you. You may just have passed, or you may have been driving a while. Either way it’s likely you’ll be giving thought to the sort of car you want.
You can buy new cars or used cars. You can rent or borrow. You might be able to pay via a payment plan. There is a lot to consider like insurance, road tax, fuel cost and maintenance. So it’s not something that should be taken lightly. But done right, owning a car can be a godsend.
Being able to drive gives you an independence that you may never have experienced before. You can go anywhere and do anything. You can drive yourself and your friends to places. You can improve your job prospects by being able to drive.
The freedom and independence you will have is unrivalled. If you are young and have just passed your test then a car is your first step toward adulthood. You are no longer shackled by having to rely on your parents to drive you places. Now you are in control of your life. You could go travelling, drive across the country to visit a friend or commute for a job.
The world is your oyster, and the sky’s the limit when you can drive. If you get a reliable car like a Hyundai then it could last you for year. This means years of freedom and independence.
One of the ways in which a car is most useful is in the event of emergencies. If you need to rush someone to the doctors or hospital then you can do so. If you need to rush home because you forgot to shut a window then your car allows you to do so.
Cars are vital in the event of an emergency. Without one, you have no way of getting to where you need to be. Your journey time’s dictated by public transport. Now somewhere like London this isn’t too bad if you can use the tube. But if you live out in the countryside then a car can be a life saver.
One of the other advantages of having a car is for shopping. It means you can go shopping whenever you want or need to. It also means you can buy as much as you like. Without a car, you might have to carry the shopping home or pop it in a taxi. But with a car you can just stick it straight into the boot.
This saves money on having to pay for a bus or taxi home. But it also saves you poor arms having to cart heavy shopping bags home. If you have a car, you can go shopping at any time of the day. It is quick and easy to nip to town and pick something up.
No Public Transport
Another advantage, of having a car, is that you don’t need to take public transport. Riding the train or the bus can take ages. You are at the mercy of the driver so there’s no way of speeding up your journey. Public transport can also cost a lot of money. Sure, cars are expensive. But the cost of petrol is considerably less than the cost of buying train or bus tickets daily.
A car is more convenient too, and you don’t have the problems with delayed or cancelled public transport. If you have a car, there’s no doubt that you’ll want to drive it over taking the train or bus.
