The latest addition to Yamaha’s Sports Heritage Range is a limited edition model, with only 695 units going into the production. If you remember your MotoGP history, Yamaha and Fiat once had a very close relationship before the factory team was given the Movistar treatment, but thankfully, Yamaha and Fiat are still on the good terms. As you can see here, Yamaha have teamed up with Abarth, a subsidiary of Fiat, to create this rather special machine which contain fully Yamaha parts.

Featuring Abarth logos on the fuel tank, as well as on the carbon front fender and carbon seat cowl, the unique grey/red colour scheme captures the spirit of a bygone era, and sits comfortably with retro café racer styling. Inspired by the 60s, and featuring the most advanced Japanese technology combined with Italian design flair, the XSR900 Abarth brings different worlds together in a very special way.

There is a wide variety of XSR900 Genuine accessories available for the XSR900 Abarth, enabling owners to personalize the motorcycle to match their individual preferences. Featuring Yamaha motorcycle parts, with the introduction of this new café racer, the Faster Sons apparel collection is also expanded with a dedicated café racer style t-shirt, fly jackets and an exclusive sweater and cap.

The engine on the Abarth remains the same. The 847cc inline triple cylinder engine pushes out 113.4bhp and 87.5Nm of torque and is mated to a six speed gearbox and features a slipper clutch as part of the Yamaha motorcycle.

The engine vents out its anger to the world through dual Akrapovic exhaust made from Titanium.
